Job Title: Estimator
Location: New Braunfels, Texas and San Antonio Metroplex

Position Overview:
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to determine project requirements and costs. The estimator will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure estimates align with project goals and budget constraints.
A Project Manager Shall:

Analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Consult with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes for materials and services.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify project requirements and scope.
- Review and assess changes to project scope and adjust estimates accordingly.
- Prepare bid proposals and submit them to clients within specified deadlines.
- Maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference.
- Monitor project progress and costs to ensure estimates remain accurate throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in project meetings and provide input on cost-related decisions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and regulations.
- Prepare detailed take-offs of materials, labor, and equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications:

Proven experience as an estimator in the electrical construction industry.
- Proficient in estimating software (e.g., ConEst) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree
- MUST have current State of Texas Issued Journeyman or Master Electrician’s License. MUST be kept current.
- OSHA 30 certification
- Must possess a valid driver’s license AND have a clean motor vehicle record.
- Must be able to pass drug and background check.
- Solid working knowledge of all electrical industry standards and codes.
- Computer knowledge.
- Ability to multitask while staying organized.
- Outstanding problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Positive customer service skills
